Good ideas are rarely implemented as quickly as at the Bio-Hotel Rupertus. Following the successful practical test of our ECOTURBINO water and energy-saving system, we were able to completely equip both the guest rooms and the spa area. The ECOTURBINO, the only water-saving system for showers where the shower jet and shower comfort remain the same, is a new must-have for hotels.

The advantages recognized immediately and implemented straight away
Good ideas are rarely implemented as quickly as at the Bio-Hotel Rupertus. Our sales manager for Tyrol contacted Ms. Blumenkamp in autumn 2018 and briefly explained the possibilities of the ECOTURBINO® water and energy-saving system for showers over the phone. A personal visit was immediately arranged, where the managing director was able to see for herself during a practical test that despite the high savings - the water flow rate was reduced from 12 to 8 l/min - there was no noticeable reduction in shower jet intensity. To be on the safe side, a 14-day test phase was agreed, during which the ECOTURBINO® was installed in 10 rooms and customers were explicitly asked about their experiences with it. The feedback was convincing and there was no negative feedback whatsoever.
Important contribution to climate protection
The other hotel rooms and showers in the wellness area were immediately equipped with the small turbines and the Bio-Hotel Rupertus has been making full use of the considerable savings potential since October 2018. Last year, 1.4 million liters of water, 55,000 kWh of energy and 18,000 kg of CO2 were saved as a result. Ms. Blumenkamp is enthusiastic about this project: "It's unbelievable how such a simple measure can make an important contribution to climate protection - in line with our sustainability philosophy!"
