Girls Day at Rabmer - girls get a taste of technology in Altenberg family business

Girls' Day has become a tradition at the Altenberg-based construction and environmental technology company Rabmer. Once again this year, 2 girls from Altenberg and Neumarkt spent a whole day getting a taste of "technical air" with an extensive and exciting program. The girls were able to try out everything from the planning department to helping out on a building construction site and with painting work to driving an excavator.

"We have been supporting Girls' Day for many years because I am also an entrepreneur in a technical field and want to show girls the wide range of training options and opportunities that exist in technical professions. The main aim is to break down prejudices against technical professions and to get girls interested in the construction sector. This no longer just means physical exertion, but also skill, creativity and teamwork," reports company boss Ulrike Rabmer-Koller.

"If more girls succeed in overcoming role stereotypes when choosing a career and are also interested in technical professions, then everyone involved will benefit - both the girls themselves and the companies. We are delighted that the participating girls go home enthusiastic every year and of course hope that many of them will choose a construction-related career at Rabmer," concludes Rabmer-Koller.
