The Bildungshaus St. Magdalena does it too - saving water with the ECOTURBINO®

The ECOTURBINO, the only water-saving system for the shower where the shower jet and shower comfort remain the same, is winning over more and more customers!

The Bildungshaus Sankt Magdalena is located on a hill in the Urfahr district of Linz, just a few minutes' drive from the city center. It offers both seminar and private guests peace, relaxation and recreation thanks to its location surrounded by greenery. The sustainable use of available resources is extremely important to Managing Director Günther Lengauer and is constantly being promoted.

The unique functionality of ECOTURBINO® was also visibly demonstrated with the bucket test on this object on first contact. In this process, a transparent bucket with markings is first filled without and then with ECOTURBINO® for one minute. The flow rate was reduced from 14 to 8 liters per minute, which is a reduction of over 40% in water and energy consumption when showering! Here too, this massive saving is possible without any noticeable loss of comfort thanks to the patented system.

A win-win situation for the hotel and the environment!

The ECOTURBINO water-saving system was installed back in September 2017, and since then we have been saving water and energy and reducingCO2 emissions every day. The annual water bill shows that the values calculated using the savings calculator are absolutely realistic. In the 67 showers, for example, around 1,480m3 of water and 60,000 kWh of energy have been reduced annually for over a year. Mr. Lengauer was able to reduceCO2 emissions by 16,600 kg per year with this easy-to-implement measure. Of course, the whole thing also has a positive economic component - with an amortization period of less than 6 months, the annual operating costs are also reduced by around € 8,000!
