What do we do to achieve this?
60 years of Rabmer:
1963
Josef and Maria Rabmer found the company and employ two people. In the early years, earthmoving, transportation, river regulation and drainage are among the main fields of activity.
1969
Rabmer soon demonstrates a flair for innovation and is the first company in Austria to work with a special drainage caterpillar that can be used to dig and lay in a single work step. This was used on construction sites throughout Austria and Germany.
1973
Rabmer begins with the construction of water and irrigation pipes, sewers, culverts and cable laying. In the following years, this area develops into the company's main area - numerous construction sites are carried out throughout Austria. Rabmer becomes known for always finding an optimal solution for even the most difficult projects.
1978
Rabmer is expanding its range of services to include the municipal sector and is now reliably taking care of snow clearance and gritting. Other services such as manhole cover lifting and ditch clearing will follow.
1980
Rabmer enters the container and formwork construction sector as well as the building materials trade. A short time later, building construction also becomes a central field of activity. Under the motto "Everything from a single source", this area is constantly expanded - Rabmer develops into a regional specialist for building construction.
1984
Rabmer recognized the importance of environmental protection early on and started with environmental technologies for water and wastewater. Rabmer also introduced the first TV inspection camera for pipelines in Austria. This made it possible to immediately determine the location and type of damaged areas in non-accessible pipes.
1988
Rabmer once again demonstrates its pioneering spirit and launches technologies for trenchless pipe rehabilitation. New processes and materials are developed and highly complex projects are mastered with enormous innovative strength. Rabmer becomes a pioneer and leading provider of pipe rehabilitation technologies in Europe.
1991
Rabmer very soon recognizes the opportunities presented by the opening up of Eastern Europe and starts with foreign construction sites in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. The number of inquiries gradually increased and in the following years, subsidiaries were founded in Hungary (1992), the Czech Republic (1994) and Italy (1999).
2000
Rabmer expands its range of services to include timber construction and carpentry. Together with Altenberg master carpenter Gottfried Riener, r&r Holzbau is founded. The company offers the following services: Roof trusses, roofs and roofing in a wide variety of designs, drywall and roof extensions, ceiling and wall constructions made of wood, wooden facades, wooden terraces, balconies, extensions and additions, various objects made of wooden elements, such as garden houses, carports, pergolas, wooden houses and halls. This once again makes the Rabmer Group a full-service provider in the regional construction sector.
2002
The company founders Josef and Maria Rabmer retire as shareholders and from the management. They hand over to the next generation, the siblings Josef Rabmer jun. and Ulrike Rabmer-Koller, who have been with the company for many years.
2002
The environmental technology sector is strongly promoted - Rabmer gradually expands this business area to the whole of Central and Eastern Europe. Further subsidiaries are founded in Romania (2002), Ukraine (2002) and Slovakia (2003) and many challenging projects are completed in the former East.
2004
Together with a Turkish partner, Rabmer secured a major order in Istanbul and set up a local branch. Further orders followed and by 2010 Rabmer had completed a total of 4 major orders in Turkey with a volume of around EUR 36 million as part of a consortium.
2006
Ulrike Rabmer-Koller takes over the sole management of the Rabmer Group. She has been with the company since 1989, taking over the commercial management in 1992, becoming a co-partner and sole authorized signatory in 1996, taking over the management of individual subsidiaries from 1999 and becoming co-managing director of the holding company in 2002.
2006
Rabmer takes 2nd place in the CEE Award 2006, the most important prize for SMEs in the new growth regions. Managing partner Ulrike Rabmer-Koller accepted the award in Vienna. The prize is awarded to medium-sized companies that have successfully exploited opportunities in the new markets of Central and Eastern Europe. HypoVereinsbank presented the CEE Award 2006 in cooperation with the German SME magazine impulse and with the support of the Austrian business magazine FORMAT. Rabmer is the only small and medium-sized company among the award winners and, despite strong competition (1st place went to Meggle from Germany with 1,704 employees, 3rd place to Kirchhoff, also with over 1,000 employees), was able to assert itself very well.
2007
Rabmer founds another subsidiary in Croatia. In addition, the international trade in environmental technology products is further expanded and Rabmer not only carries out projects, but subsequently also grants licenses for self-developed technologies and supplies materials and systems to the entire European region, as well as to overseas markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Canada, Russia and Columbia.
2009
As part of a reorganization of the Rabmer Group, the core business in the local construction sector is transferred to independent companies. This creates a good basis for further growth in this area. In building construction, the renovation of old buildings and real estate development are added to the portfolio. The pipe renovation division becomes a separate branch of the company. Another subsidiary is founded in Germany.
2009
The project submitted by Rabmer, "Excavation-free renovation of the water supply network of the city of Bydgosczc in Poland with the innovative r.tec w2 liner", was awarded the grade "Very Good" and came 3rd in the SOLID Bautech Prize 2008 despite strong competition.
2011
Ulrike Rabmer-Koller takes over 100% of the Rabmer Group's established core business. The pipe renovation division is spun off and Josef Rabmer jun. sells his shares to the company Sekisui. Ulrike Rabmer-Koller now leads the Rabmer family business into the future as sole shareholder and managing director in the 2nd generation.
