r&r Holzbau expands company site

New hall is opened with a blessing and a charity event by the Kinderschuhplattler

Founded in 2000 by Altenberg master timber builder Gottfried Riener and the Rabmer Bau Group, r&r Holzbau GmbH has developed into a competent solution provider for timber construction services of all kinds. The regionally anchored company with 11 employees combines tradition and ongoing innovation. "Our service portfolio ranges from the construction of roof trusses, drywall and roof extensions, ceiling and wall constructions, extensions and additions to carports and pergolas as well as halls and timber frame houses. We also offer energy-efficient insulation with sustainable cellulose-based insulation materials," explains company boss Gottfried Riener.

The partnership with the Rabmer Group results in many synergies for both sides. "r&r is the timber construction specialist in our group of companies. Many projects are handled jointly and we can offer our customers all services in the construction sector" Ulrike Rabmer-Koller, CEO of the Rabmer Group, is delighted with the many years of cooperation and the positive development of r&r.

Wood is increasingly in demand as a sustainable building material and r&r Holzbau continues to grow. This is why the company has now invested in a 700 m2 hall at the Rabmer Group site. It is made of wood, of course, and is a showpiece for r&r's hall construction. It is heated with wood chips and wood waste from the carpentry and building construction.

In general, the company is very committed to sustainability. Company boss Gottfried Riener has been driving an electric car for two years now, which is charged with electricity from the photovoltaic system operated at the company site.

Apprentice training is also a top priority at the company. The timber construction specialist is already employing its 8th apprentice this year and was delighted that apprentice Lukas Kaiser came 3rd in the national apprentice competition last year.

The opening of the hall will take place this week on the occasion of St. Joseph's Day, patron saint of carpenters, with a blessing and an evening of folk music with the Oberbairinger Kinderschuhplattler. The net proceeds from the event will be donated to a social project in Altenberg.
