Lukas Kaiser, a young carpenter in training at Altenberger R & R Holzbau GesmbH, a member of the Rabmer Group, took third place in the national apprentice competition in Großgmain. This makes him one of the best young carpenters in Austria, who had to prove their professional skills in a competition with high demands.
In eight hours of work, the construction of a complicated wooden roof model had to be torn out, cut out, scribed, finished and assembled. It was a roof truss with two sloping verge rafters, a falling ridge purlin and valley rafters with folded shafts. The judges, led by Federal Apprentice Supervisor Johann Langeder, primarily assessed the cleanliness and comprehensibility of the workmanship, cutting, finishing, assembly and overall impression.
Gottfried Riener, managing director and co-partner of R&R Holzbau GmbH, was of course also particularly proud: "Our young carpenter Lukas Kaiser has once again demonstrated his skills at the national apprentice competition. He has already completed his carpentry apprenticeship with distinction and came 4th in the state apprenticeship competition. I am really very proud of him and delighted that we have such excellent skilled workers in our company!"
The head of the Rabmer Group, Ulrike Rabmer-Koller, is also delighted with Lukas Kaiser's success. "We would like to congratulate Lukas on this great achievement! We attach particular importance to apprentice training in our group of companies, as this is how we secure the skilled workers of tomorrow and lay the foundation for top quality in the execution of our projects. We have already trained almost 70 apprentices with us and we also live the slogan "Career with apprenticeship" - many of our managers, foremen and supervisors started out as apprentices. This year, 3 apprentices are starting their vocational training with us again."
R&R Holzbau GmbH was founded in 2000 by Altenberg master carpenter Gottfried Riener together with the Rabmer Group and is active in the field of timber construction and carpentry.
