Sustainable designers 2023

Rabmer's green energy generation technology wins over jury

"Imagine the future will be great - and it's all your fault" - this was the tenor of the Businessart Magazine event at the end of November for the Sustainable Designers 2023 award. What makes this year special is that the Sustainable Designers have developed business models that offer tailor-made solutions for local needs, that focus on conserving our resources and on consulting, education and discourse. Forward-looking.

The jury of 53 experts made their decision - and Ulrike Rabmer-Koller, Managing Director of the Rabmer Group, was able to accept the award for Sustainable Designer. Rabmer won over the jury in the "Innovative Energy Concepts & Solutions" category with her technology for generating energy from wastewater for renewable heating and cooling.

"Studies show that up to 25 percent of the heat required can be covered by wastewater as an energy source. Added to this is the enormous and steadily increasing demand for cooling, which can also be generated from wastewater energy. This makes an important contribution to the decarbonization of the heating sector. Furthermore, the wastewater is available regionally, all year round and around the clock - making us independent of imported energy sources such as gas or oil," says Rabmer-Koller about the innovative technology.
