Rabmer GreenTech wins Energy Globe OÖ Award in the water category
We are very pleased that our project “ECOTURBINO® – saving water and energy while showering without loss of comfort” this week has been awarded the prestigious Energy Globe Award Upper Austria 2017 in the category water (ex-aequo with the Reprotex water treatment). The coveted prize was received this week during the award ceremony at the company Holter in Wels, by our managing partner Mag. Ulrike Rabmer-Koller and Rabmer GreenTech authorized signatory Mag. Klaus Pichler.
The ECOTURBINO® is a small attachment with an integrated, innovative turbine for the shower. By adding air and strong turbulence, this saves around 36% of water and energy, without having to forego corresponding showering comfort. In addition, the ECOTURBINO® prevents deposits in the shower hose and shower head, which significantly improves hygiene. The ECOTURBINO® is an Austrian, patented product that is distributed exclusively by Rabmer GreenTech and has recently been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel. Typical areas of application are the hotel industry, private households, student dormitories, hospitals, health facilities or sports facilities.
The product is certified by TÜV Austria as a suitable energy efficiency measure in the sense of the Energy Efficiency Act and not only saves costs but above all makes an important contribution to sustainability and environmental protection. This alone will save around 340 million liters of water, 13.5 million kWh of energy and 4,360 tonnes of CO2 each year with the ECOTURBINOs we sold in 2016.
We are very proud of this award because the Energy Globe Award is one of the most respected environmental awards in the world and once again confirms our innovative approach to environmental technologies. The ENERGY GLOBE Award was founded in 1999 by Austrian energy pioneer Wolfgang Neumann and is today the world’s most prestigious environmental award. Every year, the Energy Globe Award honors outstanding, sustainable projects with a focus on resource conservation, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies. The aim of the award is to present innovative and sustainable projects to a broad public, because many of our environmental problems already have good, actionable solutions. This increases awareness of these projects and creates a multiplier effect.
